TAMPA, Fla. – The online audience of a Florida teen accused of hacking prominent Twitter accounts was interrupted Wednesday by rap music and pornographic videos of users who disguised their names.
The interruptions, adding that of a user who shared a screen and resumed the audience with a porn video, forced Hillsborough County Judge Christopher C. Nash to interrupt Graham Ivan Clark’s 17-year-old consultation.
Nash reopened the hearing, but users continued their interruption. In the end, he refused to reduce Clark’s bail, which had been set at $725,000 when he was arrested Friday.
Prosecutors allege that Clark, the mastery author of the plan that hacked celebrity and political accounts and sent tweets from his accounts, was not an easy payment from Bitcoin, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
Clark’s attorney, David Weisbrok, argued that it was not moderate to set bail six times higher than the amount his consumer is accused of stealing. Lawyers said he had $3 million in Bitcoin under his control, the newspaper reported.
Prosecutors had tried to hold Clark with $30 million, or $1 million for the fee Clark faced: 17 counts of communications fraud, 11 charges of fraudulent use of non-public data, and an organized fraud charge of more than $5,000 and computer access. Electronic devices without permission.
Authorities said Clark posed a risk to society if he had a computer. The state attorney’s workplace is suing him as an adult.
They need Clark to discover that the money he is rescuing was legitimately received through criminal activities.
Two other men were also indicted in the case. Mason Sheppard, 19, of Bognor Regis, United Kingdom, and Nima Fazeli, 22, of Orlando, were charged last week in federal court in California.
Fazeli’s father told The Associated Press on Friday that he was sure he was sure his son was innocent.
