Spotify is filling up with a long list of celebrity podcasts, but Meghan Markle’s archetypes are no longer in its ranks after taking the hit after just one season.
In mid-June, a joint statement read, “Spotify and Archewell Audio mutually agreed on component tactics and are proud of the series we’ve made together. “
However, the Archewell official still includes data about the Spotify deal along with its audio data.
The site recently says, “As part of the component partnership, Duke and Duchess Archewell Audio produce podcasts and displays that create a network through shared experiences, hard narratives, and universal values. “
In fact, the site still links to an old Spotify press release, which explains the original £18 million deal. It benefits from a planned “multi-year partnership”. The podcast, actually, in 2022 and never made it to 2023.
During the podcast, Markle spoke with visitors like Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton and more. Taylor Swift was rumored to have won an invitation to participate in the show, but turned it down.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Archewell said the exhibit “often lacks direction. “They also said Prince Harry and Meghan “seem surprised through the paintings required to complete entertainment projects. “
In addition, he reported that they would not get full payment of their agreement. Reports suggest that the couple has not created enough content to meet this quota.
Spotify Bill Simmons called Harry and Meghan “con artists” on his own podcast. He also said he had a Zoom call with Harry to brainstorm some podcasts.
He said, “What is he doing? It’s one of those things where it’s like, what’s your talent? Why do they listen to you? Then you were born into a royal circle of relatives, and then you left. “
Now, however, Meghan has said she plans to take her content creation elsewhere. The Wall Street Journal revealed that the former Suits star plans to “develop more content for the Archetypes audience on some other platform. “For now, this platform has not been revealed and maintains that the content is exclusive to Spotify.
Regardless of the Spotify deal, Prince Harry and Meghan have shown themselves in the media. When Archewell Production partnered with Netflix in September 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle created their documentary in December 2022. The audience broke records.
