Countdown mathematics Rachel Riley, 34, re-filmed the exhibition in the Manchester studio with co-star Nick Hewer, 76, and Susie Dent, 55.

In Good Morning Britain today, Nick showed presenters Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard the newly arranged study while he made the adjustments that have been made, in accordance with the government’s recommendation on the coronavirus pandemic.

During their conversation, the presenter went to Rachel’s corner in the studio and said, “We’ve got Rachel, she’s been a little distant, so there’s no change,” prompting Ben to laugh.

Kate then questioned Nick’s comment, when she asked, “When you say Rachel has been distant, do you mean physically, not emotionally? She’s very friendly Rachel, is she rarely?”

He added about social estrangement measures: “There is a path around the study; a left lane and a right lane.”

Other adjustments come with casting that makeup and gets rid of the studio audience.

He added that the team is “in a hurry” to catch up on the lost episodes.

“We have to have 245 screens to our credit and we only had 50 this year, so we’re in a hurry,” he said.
