(MAPLEWOOD, N. J. ) — The free annual two-day Maplewoodstock music and arts festival will take place on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14, 2024. The music starts at noon every day and ends around 9:30 p. m. . I don’t know that Cosmic Country through Jones and Daniel Donato are the headliners of the festival.
Remember, Jones will close on Saturday night and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country will headline the festival on Sunday night. Each of those acts is preceded by Nation Beat on Saturday night and The Tia Holt Experience phenomenon on Sunday.
These headliners adhere to a comprehensive roster of local/regional bands, selected from over a hundred entries from bands from across the tri-state region in a variety of styles and genres, from rock to reggae, from R
National touring artist Remember Jones is listed as “New Jersey’s most ambitious songwriter” and recently one of the Jersey Shore’s “Most Influential People of 2024” via Asbury Park Press (along with Bruce Springsteen, Kevin Smith, and others). Remember Jones is a captivating showman, soul/pop singer, storyteller and bandleader, who helps keep audiences on the edge of their seats and feeling the moment.
Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country is a biological rock band aesthetic with a roadhouse flavor, a flaunt of Donato’s instrumental virtuosity and a facility for melodically infectious songwriting. Connecting Nashville and the Great West, Kentucky and Northern California in the mid-1960s, it was a series of films and paintings.
Nation Beat, led by local music instructor Scott Kettner, reaps the culmination of 500 years of cultural mixing culminating in a 21st-century blend of the thunderous rhythms of northeastern Brazil with the traveling swagger of New Orleans, New York.
Tia Holt’s experience is the voice you want to hear and the experience you want to have. With note, they are new heights and offer an unforgettable performance.
First held in 2004, Maplewoodstock is an informal event held in Memorial Park, in a natural grass amphitheater, just steps from the Maplewood Station (NJ Transit) and the captivating town of Maplewood. In addition to nine hours of music a day, it also includes around 20 food vendors, 60 art vendors, 20 Kidzone vendors, and a beer and wine garden (in partnership with SO Elks Lodge #1154) featuring drinks from regional brewers and winemakers.
In addition to being free, Maplewoodstock is committed to being available and open to all of our participants. The festival will provide parking for other people with disabilities, port and food services available for others with disabilities, a senior tent in partnership with SOMA’s Two Towns for All Ages, a sign language interpretation domain in the deaf area staffed by volunteers, and a sensory “relaxation” tent for volunteers who may want a break from our views, sounds and crowds. Many of our food vendors will offer vegetarian and vegan foods. In addition, the South Orange Volunteer Rescue Team will be available for any medical issues.
With a lot of help from local businesses and t-shirt sales, Maplewoodstock continues to stay true to its project of providing the most productive music showcase and collection imaginable for the chain and network with nationally famous final acts and a collection of regional bands with a strong touch of Maplewood and Orange Sud comeback.
