Sheryl Crow, Rita Moreno and many other stars in a position for a special display to update the 2021 Rose Parade

PASADENA, California (AP) – There may not be thousands more people watching float flower-laden floats through the streets of Pasadena on New Year’s Day, but the exhibit will continue.

Sheryl Crow is the most sensitive from a long list of featured artists and visitors who will appear in a January 1 television special to update the 132nd Rose Parade, which was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Artists will also come with Mickey Guyton, Tori Kelly, Lady A, Rascal Flatts and husband-and-wife duo The War and Treaty.

Special visitors will come with Rita Moreno, Emeril Lagasse, Gary Sinise, Daddy Yankee, Shanola Hampton, Dascha Polanco, Vin Scully, Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez and Rose Bowl Hall fame runner Matt Leinart.

The Roses Tournament Association states that “The New Year’s Celebration of the Rose Parade presented through Honda” will be broadcast on ABC, NBC, Hallmark Channel, Univision, RFD-TV and KTLA-Los Angeles. Organizers say the performances were filmed in locations across the country to restrict and ensure some security.

The special will also come with bands, riders, floats from past years and segments of the Rose Bowl football match that follows the parade.

Earlier this year the cancellation of the Rose Parade 2021 was announced, which had occurred only 3 times before, the years 1942, 1943 and 1945 of the Second World War.
