Surely no one would be foolish enough to doubt the concept that Stephen King exerts a wonderful influence on the world of fear-inducing entertainment. After all, we can attribute to the brilliant author’s brain some of the most productive horror films of all time. It’s one of the main reasons why so many other people hold your opinion in high regard whenever you comment on a movie or TV show. King recently took to social media to share his thoughts on another horror movie coming to theaters soon. Prolific has been very supportive of the film, and if you (for some reason) are still skeptical, you deserve to know that the film is also one hundred percent based on Rotten Tomatoes.
This is Strange Darling, a horror mystery written and directed by JT Mollner, who directed the western Outlaws and Angels. Stephen King took to X (aka Twitter) to focus on Mollner’s film. The master of terror sought to contain his emotions. short, which is indicative of the quality of the film. However, in King’s case, he did not share the slightest bit of mind with him due to some form of disdain. In fact, it is quite the opposite. King said:
I wish I could say more about STRANGE DARLING, but it’s one of those videos that’s too clever to spoil, so it’s best not to say anything.
Such provocation turns out to be enough to hook the audience into watching the film as soon as possible. There has to be a truly exclusive narrative at play if M. King seeks to keep a low profile about what he has witnessed. Frankly, if he were in J. T. Mollner right now, I would have gotten over the fact that the editor of Salem’s Lot appreciated my work. And, as mentioned above, King’s reaction was just the tip of the iceberg in terms of positive reactions.
Shawshank Redemption’s William Sadler has posted a line that completely changes the way we look at his character.
Strange Darling has a one hundred percent critical freshness score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 18 reviews, as of this writing. While there is a strong possibility that this number will be replaced over time, it is still an impressive start. And of course, the comments made so far by experts convey very positive emotions about this horror title. Trace Thurman of Bloody Disgusting called the film “a relentless thrill ride that acts as one long chase scene. » Meanwhile, Variety’s Michael Nordine seemed to echo the Cujo writer’s thoughts, saying that the film “is most productively experienced with as little prior wisdom as possible. ” Seriously, my interest is starting to pique.
I really appreciate the sentiments expressed by critics, but I also appreciate each and every moment when Stephen King feels that it is compatible with pop culture. King praised Pet Sematary’s Bone Tomahawk and even gave his endorsement to the horror. In the series From. Hell, King even turned on the mayor of Kingstown, even though he supposedly “has no fucking idea what’s going on” every time he watches the drama series. His criticisms are welcome to me, and at this point, it is evident that he strives to be fair and even thoughtful.
That’s why other people might need to take inventory of the words he chose for Strange Darling, which has been described as a cat-and-mouse thriller. It turns out that JT Mollner, who is about to direct the adaptation of The Long Walk, turns in It’s about having something twisted for moviegoers. Such a prospect is all the more exciting given that the film has been critically acclaimed and approved by Stephen King.
Strange Darling will hit theaters on August 23. In the meantime, do yourself a favor and check out the 2024 movie calendar for news on other upcoming horror movies.
