2. Seven Psychopaths (2012) – Martin McDonagh’s dark comedy stars Colin Farrell as a suffering entangled in his friend’s dog nap plan gone wrong.
The Big Lebowski (1998) – The Coen brothers’ cult vintage combines dark storytelling and stoner comedy, directed by Jeff Bridges as “The Dude. “
4. Fargo (1996) – Another Coen brothers comedy, “Fargo” deftly combines crime drama with Midwestern humor.

7. Hot Fuzz (2007) – Part of Edgar Wright’s Cornetto trilogy, this British action-comedy delights with its fast-paced editing and homage to crime films.
8. Death at a Funeral (2007) – With a British cast, this dark comedy uses slapstick and wit to tell the story of family secrets revealed at a funeral.
9. Trainspotting (1996) – Though more than comedic, Danny Boyle’s film about Scottish heroin addicts has its moments of humor amid the rough.

Moviegoers continue to debate and notice new gems, but those videos have turned out to be the most sensible in Letterboxd user ratings, combining excitement and laughter in equal measure.
