Brad Pitt almaximum played a role in one of Hollywood’s most iconic films of the time: Almaximum Famous.
Offering some revisionist history, the film’s director, Cameron Crowe, revealed in a new interview that the cast of the old film, which considers the concert of a music fan’s life at high school, covering a promising band for Rolling Stone magazine, is almost absolutely different from the finished Organization of players who would eventually make the 2000 film.

“He told me that wasn’t the case. I think it’s probably half and half,” Crowe said. “I think he’s also uncomfortable with the age difference between Russell and Penny Lane.”
Almost Famous won an Oscar and a Golden Globe in 2001 and Hudson and Frances McDormand, who finished as mother Elaine Miller, were nominated for an Oscar. In addition, Hudson won a Golden Globe for its functionality and the film won the Globe for Best Picture.
