And while many don’t know why this unknown exhibition has attracted an audience across the country, all it has to do is address its cult audience to see how viral the series has gone over the years. After all, The Legend of Korra is in the same universe as Avatar: The Last Airbender, a screen that was arguably the most popular screen on Netflix this year.
How do I know? Due to a point rating formula we use to assess popularity on the streaming platform. Netflix’s Top 10 feature, however, has allowed us to evaluate the popularity of a screen or movie compared to all other screens or movies on the platform. There’s a list of movies and exhibits, and Avatar: the last master of the air has done the entire demonstration in recent months.
And now, The Legend of Korra would probably be on track to fit (or even break) the milestones set through Avatar.
The milestones in question? Well, let’s start with the biggest one. Avatar: The Last Airbender premiered on Netflix on May 18, which is also the first day of the show’s opening position. Avatar immediately ordered the Top 10 and did not give up first place for five days.
From there, Avatar began his record career. Although the series never returns to No. 1, Avatar would remain in the Top 10 for 61 consecutive days. It is the longest series ever recorded, more than Ozark, more than Outer Banks, more than Love is Blind.
Ah: and more than the screen that lately has more problems than any Netflix show, Tiger King.
This was the main theme of Avatar’s Netlfix story. Although the screen never completely ruled No. 1 position as Ozark or Outer Banks or Tiger King did, the screen went viral constantly for weeks as no other show could. With 61 episodes available, other people were allegedly addicted to Avatar and fed from each episode to the end.
Because of this, Avatar has completed more than just any other screen that can match. In May, the screen won 123 points. Then, the following month, Avatar amassed 162 points. In two months, this left Avatar in third place. No other screen has ended up in the 3 most sensitive for two consecutive months.
The 61 days of Avatar in the Top 10 are also the most important moment of all screens. Lately, the Agency has been leading all exhibits with 101 non-consecutive Top 10 appearances. This means that the Agency’s average appearance earned him 2.3 points. Meanwhile, Avatar’s average appearance yielded 5.56 points. So, while The Office has given the impression more times in the Top 10, Avatar has earned many more points.
Enough points, in fact, to rank four all year. Here are the ten popular tops to date in 2020:
With all this in mind, it’s exciting to see The Legend of Korra take on this kind of start. The screen premiered in the moment position on August 14 before moving to the top spot on August 15. Not only has this disrupted The Umbrella Academy’s crazy run to the top, but Korra has now held position 1 for 3 consecutive days.
And since no major new screens will be added to Netflix this week, Korra can retain that more sensible place for several days, perhaps even more than the original five-day Avatar race in the first place. And if that’s the case, it may very well mean that Korra has taken over the Top 10 magic through Avatar. And if that is the case, then the records established through Avatar can be damaged through its successor series.
