His victory was the last circular of victories through progressive lawmakers. In Minnesota, Omar beat up lawyer Antone Melton-Meaux, who caught her eye for outraged her during the campaign.

“It has been the honor of my life to constitute it in Congress and I look forward to proceeding to serve the other people in District 5 in the coming years,” he continued.
Somalia-born lawmaker was elected as one of the first American Muslim women in Congress, along with Tlaib. His overt denunciation of President Trump and his defense of far-left concepts have attracted national attention and, with the help of his Twitter account, have made it a target for Republicans and even some Democrats.
Not unrelated to controversy, he was found to apologize after commenting on Israel and the cash that even some fellow anti-Semitic Democrats.

Melton-Meaux said she supported Omar’s first congressional nomination in 2018 and criticized her for the number of votes lost.
“It’s been useless in Washington, it’s dividing and it’s focusing on its fame,” Melton-Meaux told The Associated Press.
After George Floyd’s death, police reform has also become a problem. Omar heads The 5th Congressional District of Minnesota, which covers much of the city of Minneapolis, the site of national protests triggered by Floyd’s death in police custody on May 25.
Omar subsidized a boost through most of Minneapolis City Council to update the city’s police section with something new. Melton-Meaux did not do this, but modified some of the police investment towards more social service-oriented programs.
Tlaib, a member of the four-person team, won his number one choice in Detroit last Wednesday and proclaimed that his victory showed that progressive lawmakers were returning to Congress more powerful and larger.
She tweeted “Our is great!” after Omar’s victory on Tuesday.

He outraged and beat Detroit City Council President Brenda Jones in the 13th 13th District number one by a two-to-one margin, which he noticed as another blow to the arm for the democratic democratic left that took on status quo figures. Cori Bush, a Black Lives Matter activist, also defeated Rep. William Lacy Clay, a longtime congressman of St. Louis’s dominance, at Missouri’s number one Democrat on August 4.
“Let us know that in District 13, as in the communities of our country, we have ended the status quo policy that puts business first,” Tlaib said in a statement of victory. “If I was considered the most vulnerable member of the team, I think it’s to say that the team is here to stay, and that it’s just getting bigger.”
Meanwhile, Ocasio-Cortez beat former CNBC collaborator Michelle Caruso-Cabrera and other challengers in the June new York primary, winning 70% of the vote. He overesteered Caruso-Cabrera, who supported through the American Chamber of Commerce and controlled only 19%.

After winning, Ocasio-Cortez said the victory demonstrated the far-left movement he led in New York and “a mandate.”
