Travel to Tokyo, Paris and the Maldives with the launch of Ikea products

If you miss the thrill of a simple and the possibility to meet a new place, meet other attractive people and see the attractions of some other city, go to your local Ikea or just go online and buy your new vacation. in a box.”

That’s right, the Swedish mega furniture store is now promoting travel. Famous for the names of its original products and the countless discussions couples have had when trying to assemble their wardrobe, Ikea has now introduced a way for buyers to notice a new destination without leaving home.

The four-variety cabinets, Paris, Cappadocia, Tokyo and the Maldives, feature house furniture, accessories, recipes, photographs and activities to immerse you in a new position without having to pack a suitcase or book an electronic ticket.

In a season when the foreigner has become more unlikely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the large Swedish store is helping to break the boredom that many of us feel by being trapped on the same 4 walls for months.

Instead of breaking regulations and risking your fitness and that of others, stay home, remodel an area and think you’re out.

These boxes can help you create a special romantic gift for a couple, give your kids a taste of another country for a themed night or just make their boring living room a little more attractive.

Let’s take a closer look at what the boxes are.

The Cappadocia box includes a recipe for Turkish delights, instructions on how to dance a Turkish dance and tips for videos and songs to complete your theme.

You’ll also find cushions and accessories to get cozy and make a little nook to enjoy your Turkish coffee.

You can also prepare a classic quiche or a baked camembert with its recipes included and end the night with the ballroom dancing waltz with your lover.

The Tokyo box includes potted plants and a tea service to practice the ancient art of the tea ceremony. You will also receive instructions on how to perform a classic fan dance as seen at the Kabuki Theatre.

Japanese-style recipes for ramen and Japanese-style cheesecake are available.

The Maldives box includes glassware and brightly coloured plates, as well as LED lighting fixtures to customize an outdoor space. In the activity pack, look for music suggestions, adding Boduberu, Maldives’ best-known indigenous music.

It also explains how to dance Bandiyaa Jehun, a classical folk dance.

Anyone can download Ikea’s activity, recipe and movie and music brochures, but the full “Vacation in a Box” sets are available lately only in the United Arab Emirates.

But why use the tips and a little imagination and make your own special night under the stars in Paris, on the beach of the Maldives, in a tearoom in Japan or admiring the hot air balloons in Cappadocia?

Until we can travel to those beautiful real destinations, let’s play home!
