Born in Brooklyn, New York, where he lived until age 17, Bobby earned his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from UWM in 1989 and has lived in Walker’s Point, Bay View, Enderis Park, South Milwaukee, and the East Side.
He has three nonfiction books in Italy, adding one about an occasion in the history of Milwaukee, in the United States in the fall of 2010. Four other books, all about Milwaukee, were published by The History Press.
With his most recent band, The Yell Leaders, Bobthrough has released four LPs and has featured songs on episodes of the TV shows “Party of Five” and “Dawson’s Creek,” as well as videos in Japan, South America, and the United States. Unsigned band from their region via VH-1 as part of their 1998 Rock Across America tour. Most recently, the band contributed tracks to a British Redskins tribute vinyl/CD and collaborated on a track with Italian novelist Enrico Remmert.
He has produced 3 installments of the “OMCD” series of music compilations for OnMilwaukee. com and in 2007 produced a CD of Italian music and poetry.
In 2005 he won the Journalism Prize of the City of Asti (Italy) for his paintings in this field. He has earned awards from the Milwaukee Press Club.
