A disabled woman in Washington state has been rescued after spending nine days in a car in what the government describes as “near-freezing weather. “
In an article posted on Facebook on Tuesday, the Kent Police Department revealed that the “severely disabled adult” woman, whose name is not mentioned, reported that she had disappeared through her sister on Feb. 14.
Authorities went on to say the woman “was last noticed on February 5, 2022 when her mother, a 45-year-old Kent resident, parked her vehicle at a fuel station in [Kent] and left, leaving her daughter in the car. “
According to the police department, they “determined through investigation that the vehicle had been privately towed, at the request of the fuel station, on land in Burien. “

Once the Kent Police Department arrived at the tow yard, Kent Police Department workers located the woman inside the vehicle that had been towed.
“She was stuck in the car for nine days in the trailer backyard in near-freezing weather,” the Facebook post reveals.
Officials “sought medical help immediately,” they say, and “he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. “
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, Kent PD.

A Skyway Towing and Rescue official, Bon Pauza, told Fox Thirteen Seattle that they “found a girl in the back seat covered in clothes and other trash, so they couldn’t see her. “
