Celebrity Race Across the World will return to BBC One this week, with 4 competing pairs covering over 7,800 miles in South America. The race will begin in Belém, Brazil, and will end in Frutillar, Chile.
The newest series is made up of six episodes and includes broadcaster Jeff Brazier and his son Freddy, actor Kola Bokinni and his cousin Mary Ellen, former model Kelly Brook and her spouse Jeremy, as well as BBC Radio 2 presenter Scott Mills and her spouse Sam.
The race includes five checkpoints, and the competition only reveals their next destination when they start from the previous one. As culture dictates, the team is allocated a budget equivalent to the price of the plane ticket to cover the race route.
While many enthusiasts have already named the winners of this year’s race, let’s take a look at last year’s winners. The inaugural season aired in September 2023 and spanned an address spanning 24 countries.

Initially struggling, the father and son team managed to place third and fourth at the first two checkpoints. However, they took second position at the third checkpoint, traveling from France to Switzerland, and maintained their position of strength.
