YouTube said monetization of Brand’s account, which has 6. 6 million subscribers, had been suspended “following serious allegations by the creator. “
“This resolution applies to all channels possibly owned or operated by Russell Brand,” the Google-owned video service said.
The suspension means the logo will likely not be able to make money from classified ads on and throughout YouTube videos, which display headlines like “What REALLY started the Hawaii fires?and “Covid Tsar admits lockdowns have NEVER been about science. “
Other channels related to Brand’s main YouTube page are Awakening With Russell, which has 426,000 subscribers, Football Is Nice, which has about 20,000 subscribers, and Stay Free With Russell Brand, which has 22,200 subscribers.

Brand still appears in Rumble, a video popular with some conservatives and far-right groups, where his channel has 1. 4 million fans. He also has 11. 2 million fans on X, formerly Twitter, and 3. 8 million on Instagram.
Brand, four8, denies allegations of sexual assault made through four women in a Channel Four television documentary and in The Times and Sunday Times newspapers. Among the accusers, who have not been identified, one said he was sexually assaulted while dating him when she was 16. Another woman claims Brand raped her in Los Angeles in 2012.
The 4 allegations date back to between 2006 and 2013. La London Metropolitan Police said that since the allegations were made public, it gained a report of a separate sexual assault dating back to 2003.
Known for his unbridled and daring routines, Brand was a headline star in the UK in the early 2000s. He has hosted radio and television shows, written memoirs about his battles with drugs and alcohol, acted in several Hollywood films and was briefly married to pop star Katy Perry between 2010 and 2012.
In recent years, Brand has largely disappeared from mainstream media, but has built a giant online audience with videos that combine conspiracy theories and wellness. His YouTube channel featured conspiracy theories about COVID-19, vaccine misinformation and interviews with questionable broadcasters, adding Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan.
He also continued his tour as a comedian, performing on Saturday in front of many other people at a London venue. He was due to perform in Windsor, west London, on Tuesday, but promoters said the rest of the tour was postponed following the allegations.
Brand has also been fired through his skills firm and an editor since the allegations became public.
Ellie Tomsett, senior lecturer in media and communications at Birmingham City University, said it’s too early to say whether those claims will end Brand’s acting career.
“I think there’s definitely a market for ‘foreign’ comedians. . . or for other people who need to position themselves as a pathway or an option for existing conceptions of gender equality,” she said. “And so I think in the long run, will this have an effect on his career as expected?Maybe not.
